Curtis Tabor was born in New Mexico in
1925. He received a Master of Fine Art in Education degree from Eastern
New Mexico University in 1954, and taught art in the New Mexico school
system for over 21 years.
He was active in the local,
district and state levels of art activity in the schools for Art
Education Association in New Mexico from 1951-1971, and was the
Regional director over four states of “Art in the Schools” from
1959-1960. He is a life member of National Education Association.
He currently resides in Clovis with
his wife of 57 years, painting and enjoying retirement. He works
in oils, acrylics, watercolors and ceramics.
His spiritual depth and his love of
nature and the environment are evident in his work and in his life.
