Carol Armstrong

American Artist (1954-) (Cherokee Delaware)

Carol is one of our newest artists. She brings a vivid palette and a knowledge of figurative painting to our stable of artists. Her commitment to the integrity of the art of painting is refreshing. She is an Oklahoma Artist with a BA from The University of Central Oklahoma. She says about herself, “I have been painting and teaching professionally for over 35 years. I am a figurative and landscape painter. I enjoy working in a variety of mediums, Oil, Watercolor and Pastel. I teach Studio Painting at the Firehouse Art Center in Norman, OK where I work in all mediums, all subjects and all styles with my students. The realization that painting was my passion happened by the age of 8 years old. Creative expression and enjoying art is one of the most amazing joys in my life.”

Her most recent award is the 2017 Governors Award for Community Service in the Arts.

Come and see her work at Art Exchange Gallery, Santa Fe, NM.  You will be amazed at her use of color, composition, design and her ability to capture the spirit of her subjects.
